Abiodun Ismail Bello is currently an Information Technology Assistant Director in the Risk Management and Internal Control Division (RMIC) of the US. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

With over 21 years’ experience in Internal Audit, Cybersecurity, & Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) and Tax Consulting roles. He was a Lead IT Auditor with USAID Office of Inspector General, prior to that, was a Lead Auditor with Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC). He joined the U.S Government federal workforce in 2015 after over 12 years of private sector experience in federal consulting, the State of Maryland, and Financial Institutions. He held previous federal consulting positions including Manager, IT Audit and Information Assurance at Kearney & Company, Senior Consultant with PwC, Accenture, and was a Lead Auditor, with Maryland Department of Transportations (MDOT), Accountant, with Edward Mazique Center of Washington, DC and had worked for various banks in the Group Internal Audit Division in Nigeria prior to relocation to America in 2007.

Mr. Bello is a graduate of Accounting and Finance from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, and holds an MBA in Finance from Bowie State University, Maryland, USA. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Harvard Kennedy School of Government in the United States, where he attended an Executive Course in Leadership Decision Making. He also earned various professional certifications including Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (FCA), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Federal IT Security Professional Auditor (FITSP-A).
