CHAIRMAN
Paul Akioyamen; Msc, Bsc, FCTI, ACA is a consummate and astute Professional. He is the foremost Assistant Director, Research & Technical Directorate, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). He was part of the Editorial team that delivered the CITN Tax Guide and Statutes (Second Edition), Volumes 1 and 2. He also participated in delivering the CITN Nigerian Tax Treaty Manual and worked with various tax faculties to develop other technical tax materials for publication by the Institute.
He has participated in other research projects which include participation as a member of a technical sub-group that delivered an ECOWAS project on Impact Assessment on the effects of an increase of the VAT rate of Nigeria from 5% to 10% or higher. He also participated as part of a technical group that delivered on an Actionaid/Oxfam research project on Wages, Taxes and CSR Policies of Selected Companies in Nigeria. He has been engaged in other numerous research works and facilitated several sessions with participants drawn from Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and others from various spheres of life.
He possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Lagos State University, Masters Degree in Economics and Masters Degree in Operations Research, from the Department of Business Administration, both from the University of Lagos. He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
